On my way in to work today I was thinking about where I would like to go for lunch and remembered that today (April 14) is the last day for Binghamton Restaurant Week.

Even before Binghamton Restaurant Week arrived last week, I promised myself that I would try some restaurants I have never tried before and that is exactly what I did as I bookmarked their web site EatBing.com.  Who doesn't love to eat good food and help out local charities at the same time?  This year, the Handicapped Children's Association and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Binghamton will be supported by the event.

I already have some fresh new favorites thanks to Binghamton Restaurant Week. Muffer's Kitchen had the most amazing homemade mac and cheese and crispy fish I have ever had.  Alexander's Cafe has some of the freshest sandwiches and homemade soups in town.  Taj Tandoor Restaurant has officially been added to my list of favorite Indian restaurants.

With more than thirty restaurants part of this spring's food fest, I can't believe there are only a handful I have not tried:  On The Roxx Bar & Grill, Strange Brew, The Chatterbox and South City Publick House.  I may narrow that down to just two as the day is young and I have not had lunch or dinner yet.

I will miss you Binghamton Restaurant Week but I know you'll be back in the fall!
