Binghamton Restaurant on Food Network’s Best Burritos in the Country List
A Southern Tier restaurant is being recognized as having one of the best burritos in the United States.
The Food Network released their best burritos in the country list a couple of weeks ago. They featured 33 restaurants across the United States including three from New York. One of those was Dos Rios Cantina on Court Street in Binghamton.
Dos Rios is a Mexican restaurant that opened on Court Street just a few years ago. They claim to have over 100 different types of tequila and the artwork inside the restaurant is mind-blowing. Especially at night when they turn on the black lights and the artwork seems to pop off the wall.
The food is pretty good too. The Food Network suggested that you try their carnitas burrito, smothered in queso.
I've eaten at Dos Rios a dozen times and each time the food was awesome. I usually go for the tacos, and I have had a few of their burritos, but not the carnitas.
However, we'll argue that that there is not enough Southern Tier representation on this list! They easily could have added:
- Las Chicas Taqueria in Owego
- Hacienda Pizzeria in Binghamton
- El Pulpo in the town of Dickinson
- Johnny B's in Norwich
- Garage Taco in Binghamton
- Los Tapatios in Vestal
The other two New York restaurants that made the best burritos list were Mexicali Blue in Wappingers Falls and Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar in Brooklyn.
