Dancing With The Stars Goes Country Tonight

With Hurricane Sandy coming our way, you may be staying in tonight.  If your looking for some country fun on TV, tonights episode of "Dancing With the Stars" on Newschannel 34 could be the answer.

Tonight the all-star celebrities(?)  will dance to country songs.  There's a group freestyle dance with music by Big and Rich along with Cowboy Troy.  Little Big Town will be on hand to perform.  The drama on the show might be between Apolo Ohno and Karina Smirnoff.  Apolo has been complaining about their chemisty together.  He wrote on his blog that they are going through some issues, and at the end of the dance, He doesn't feel as connected as he normally does.  They'll be dancing the Viennese Waltz to "Skin" by Rascal Flatts, not exactly a toe tapper or knee slapper.  I like the song but obviously it'll be slow so that should add to the hype of lack of heat.

Shawn Johnson is the odds on favorite to win the whole season followed by Emmitt Smith.  The long shot is Kirstie Alley.  Grab your cowboy hat, boots and spurs and enjoy some country dancing fun tonight with "Dancing With the Stars" at 8pm on Newschannel 34.
