I'm so glad that when I was growing up that we didn't have social media. We are more connected than ever and as lonely at the same time. Another thing that we didn't have to worry about is cyberbullying.

I feel so bad for todays youth and what they have to put up with. Speaking of cyberbullying, have you seen the latest news about cyberbullying in the United States?  Did you know that New York is ranked 7th in the country for facing cyberbullying

That's a big deal, especially how cyberbullying effects the sleep and mental health of our youth. MattressNextDay recently released its 2024 'Cyberbullying Hotspots' report, which shows the prevalence of cyberbullying in different states and cities.

The report showed the number of cyberbullying related key terms that were mentioned on social media and online per 10,000 residents in different New York cities. Here's a  look at some of the ranking cities in New York:

New York: 6,217,791 mentions
Buffalo: 212,337 mentions
Rochester: 93,140 mentions
Syracuse: 48,478 mentions

It's eye-opening to see how cyberbullying is affecting our communities. The report also included insights from Senior Sleep Expert Martin Seeley and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor Emma Loker.

They highlighted the impact of cyberbullying on sleep and mental health and emphasized how cyberbullying can lead to disrupted sleep patterns and increased anxiety.
