Broome, Chenango and Tioga Counties are all announcing locations for residents to receive the COVID-19 vaccines and Broome adds walk-in opportunity at SUNY Broome on April 22.

The Broome County website shows several dozen appointments available April 21 for all residents over the age of 16 to get the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine at the American Legion in Whitney Point starting at 10:35 a.m. with openings throughout the day through about 1:15 p.m.

Broome County has now also announced walk-ins will be accepted at the SUNY Broome Ice Center on April 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The County also has a limited amount of the Pfizer vaccine, which is the only brand that is approved for residents aged 16 and 17, that will be available on April 22.

Close to 500 appointments are available in Broome for the Moderna vaccine each day April 22 and April 29.   Go to www.gobroomecounty.com to register.

Tioga County is having Moderna clinics from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 23 at the Sheriff’s office and from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Elm Street Elementary School in Waverly.

Moderna shots can be given to anyone age 18 and over.  Residents should bring a driver’s license or proof they live or study in New York State.  Register at https://apps2.health.ny.gov/.../appl.../cdmspr/2/counties

Chenango County is giving 100 doses to a targeted group this week but is taking appointments for a clinic on the 29th.
