I was at Wegmans last weekend and I'm pretty sure I startled the woman pushing her cart behind me because when I saw a box of Count Chocula cereal, I let out a squeal. Yes, simple reminders of my childhood bring me so much joy.

Every year right around Halloween, cereal lovers (and those who are nostalgic as I am) flock to the store to pick up General Mills' line of monster cereals, which are now only available this time of year. People stock up on Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Boo Berry. But as fans in Fort Collins, Colorado frantically searched store shelves for Count Chocula, it was no where to be found.

Why? Steve Marrick, general manager of Black Bottle Brewery, bought up all the boxes of Count Chocula because he plans to blend it into his line of cereal-infused beer.

The Cerealiously line of beer combines everyone's favorite breakfast cereals with their brand of craft beer. Steve has already concocted beers using Golden Grahams and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Lucky Charms and Cap'n Crunch beers are expected to follow.
I don't know about you, but nothing about cereal favored beer sounds appealing to me. If you're looking for me, I'll have my box of Count Chocula, milk, bowl and spoon and be on the couch.
