Another restaurant is expected to open in the heart of downtown Binghamton within a few weeks.

Work is underway on a business that will be called Tipsy Toppings. It will be located in the Stephens Square Building at 81 State Street.

Gino Guler of Vestal said the establishment will feature a range of items, including pizza and rotisserie chicken. He said it also will be open early in the morning to serve things like coffee and bagels.

Guler said the restaurant will offer a breakfast buffet on Saturdays and Sundays. He said it will be open late to serve students and others who gather downtown.

Guler said preparations inside the building started about three weeks ago. He said he hopes the business will be ready to open around June 1.

Guler opened an Oakdale Pizza restaurant at 47 Court Street less than two years ago. He said that operation and another similar restaurant at the Oakdale Mall will remain open.
