26-year-old Domenico Rossi is facing a number of counts including felony kidnapping in the incident that happened at around 4 p.m. Friday, December 20.

Village Police say they were called about a man causing a disturbance and threatening people with a knife at an address on the upper end of Oakdale Road near the village line and saw a vehicle speeding off as they arrived on the scene.

Authorities say a worker at the location told them Rossi had showed up demanding to see the boss saying he was owed money.

When told the boss wasn't there, Rossi allegedly told the victim he wanted to speak to him in his car where he reportedly threatened the man with a knife and demanded he call the boss.  When that person wouldn't go to the scene, the victim said Rossi threatened to stab him and drove off with the worker still in the car.

Police say the victim jumped out of the moving vehicle and officers were able to stop Rossi after he turned off Oakdale Road onto Grant Street, which is a dead-end.

In addition to kidnapping, Rossi is charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon, misdemeanor menacing and driving while intoxicated and was ticketed for speeding.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail.
