Colin Montgomerie Commits To The Dick’s Sporting Goods Open

Monday was Media Day for the Dick's Sporting Goods Open coming to En-Joie Golf Course August 16-18th.  Last year's winner Willie Wood was on hand but that wasn't the biggest news of the day.

The big news was that Colin Montgomerie has committed to play.  He'll turn 50 this Sunday(6/23). The man known as "Monty" was recently inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.  He's won 41 times throughout his career and was a eight-time European Ryder Cup team member.

The Dick's Sporting Goods Open reputation continues to grow with the legends of golf.  29 of the top 30 on the money list are coming.  There are 55 PGA tour winners with 16 majors wins.  Dick's Sporting Goods Open also won the prestigious Presidents Award last year.

Tim McGraw will be performing on Friday, August 16th after the golf is done for the day.  You can still get tickets to the show here.  Your ticket to the show also lets you watch Friday's 1st round of Championship golf at the DSG Open.
