Country singer Chris Lane and his fiancee Lauren Bushnell just took two major steps in their relationship: The couple has adopted a puppy and bought a house together!

Bushnell, an alum of The Bachelor, share their big (big) news on Instagram on Monday (Aug. 19), along with a photo of herself and Lane standing in their new home with their new dog, Cooper, a "foster fail." Lane and Bushnell were fostering the pup until he could find a permanent home — which he has, with them.

“So happy we get to love you Coop," Bushnell writes. "Now that we have adopted you I’ll start working on your dad and finding you a brother/sister, but for now it’s the 3 of us!”

Bushnell sandwiched the couple's new home news into the same Instagram post ("Oh! And!! WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!" she writes at the very end).

Bushnell and Lane got engaged in mid-June, after she moved in with him in Nashville this spring. The two have been together since Fall 2018. To pop the question, Lane wrote Bushnell a song, "Big, Big Plans."

“Even though I felt pretty confident I was going to get the ‘Yes,’ I’ve never been that nervous,” he admits. “When I got to the third verse of the song and knew it was time, I pretty much blacked out. The next thing I knew, she said ‘yes’ and the nerves just lifted! It’s an explosion of excitement, pure joy, and love."
