We've seen plenty of celebrities use their status to help great causes, and who is up next? None other than Reba McEntire! She is the newest spokesperson for Outnumber Hunger.

New details are emerging on the first annual David "DW" Smith Jr. Remembrance 5k Run/Walk on Sunday April 12th at CFJ Park in Johnson City.  The event is to honor the memory of Patrolman David W. Smith Jr. who was tragically killed in the line of duty March 31st, 2014.

Hockey 4 Hope is an annual charity hockey game organized to raise money to help alleviate the financial burden that is associated with cancer.  The game will be played at SUNY Broome's Ice Center on March 28th from 7-9pm.  Look for the rink to go pink that evening and admission is free.

Brad Paisley recently teamed with Diageo-Guiness USA to raise $1 million by St. Patrick's Day in support of local firefighters all over the country. You go, Brad!

I am so proud to be a part of the country music community, working at the Hawk for nearly 28 years now.  Country music entertainers and fans always seem to come together in times of need and truly care about important issues like fighting childhood cancer...
