The statistics are alarming yet real. Over 600,000 people are homeless in America on any given night. Can you imagine living everyday not knowing if you have a safe place to sleep at night? Most of us take a warm home and bed for granted. But being homeless is reality for over a half a million Americans.
In November of 2014, Binghamton Mayor Rich David put our city on the map by being the first in the United States to shelter all identified homeless veterans, which is an amazing accomplishment that other cities are striving to achieve.

Matt Tribe of Utah, was one of the 1,000 people who got one of Olive Garden’s $100 Unlimited Pasta Passes. For seven weeks, Matt was able to have all the pasta, bread sticks, salad and soft drinks he could stomach. But he decided that instead of using the pasta pass himself, he would give it out to random people.

I'm sure none of the little kids at ProMedica Toledo Children's Hospital will ever forget this- members of the Toledo police SWAT team put on superhero costumes and arrived on the hospital roof in a helicopter. But it didn't end there.
