Candor Man Runs Out of Gas During Police Chase

A Candor man has a fist-full of tickets after his alleged attempt to outrun troopers literally ran out of gas.

New York State Police in Owego say they pursued 21-year-old Frank Kilanowski on Route 96 in Candor at a high rate of speed at 1:59 a.m.February 4, breaking off the chase for safety when the vehicle enter the Town of Ithaca.

They found  Kilanowski a short time later on Route 79 east of Ithaca as his vehicle slowed down and ground to a halt as it ran out of gas.

Troopers say he was issued tickets in Candor, Danby, Ithaca and Richford.
