Work is nearing completion on new facilities for Broome County's workforce development center in Johnson City.

Dozens of employees will soon be moving from offices on Front Street in Binghamton to the former Sears building in the Oakdale Mall.

County Executive Jason Garnar plans to deliver his State of the County address at the new location on Tuesday evening.

Speaking on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program, Garnar said about 100 county workers should be at the site "within a matter of weeks."

The county executive said he believes everyone will be moved into the new facility by the end of this month.

Garnar said the original goal was to have the move completed by the start of this year but the "massive project" took a bit longer than had been expected.
