Internet service provider Greenlight Networks scores the naming rights after a request for proposal earlier this year. The park has four awesome fields and is all about bringing excitement to the community.

County Executive Jason Garnar said they wanted the newly renovated park to have its own identity that reflects the fast-paced action happening there. Greenlight Networks fills the bill perfectly and it's a win-win partnership. This will showcase all the exciting softball games happening at Grand Slam Park.

Greenlight Networks CEO Mark Murphy expressed gratitude for being selected as the naming rights partner and said the park will bring new opportunities to local athletes.

Broome County Softball Complex Has a New Name

The agreement between Broome County and Greenlight Networks is worth over $50 thousand annually. Greenlight will provide 2Gbps of high-speed internet to the park, along with constructing and maintaining the necessary infrastructure. They'll also handle the signage, which will showcase the facility and events happening there.

The renovation of the four-field park is a $4 million project, featuring all-turf fields and brand-new lights. It's the only softball complex of its kind in New York State. The park is the go-to spot for Section IV championships, and the County hopes to bring the New York State championships here too.

With the turf and lights in place, more games can be played each day and the playing season can be extended. That ultimately means even more visitors will be sliding into Grand Slam Park. This is definitely a home run for Broome County...

Did I use enough baseball metaphors? Let's go to the replay.
