Broome Adds Vaccine Clinics and Cancelation Appointments Open
Health officials continue to advise that the key to conquering the coronavirus pandemic is winning the race between getting people vaccinated and the continuing mutations of the virus.
In Broome County, more vaccination clinics are being set up and some appointments for previously filled session can open up when people cancel.
Early in the morning on April 2, the Broome County website reported there were openings for clinics on Wednesday the 7th and Monday the 12 but, at 5 a.m. there even were two appointments open for that very same day. Just days before, the county website had shown all the appointments for April 2 had all been taken, proving new slots may open at any time. (The last of those two appointments was taken shortly bfore 7 a.m.)
Check the website often at www.gobroomecounty.com/hd/coronavirus/vaccine for new clinics and appointments that may have opened up.
Broome and Chenango Counties are among localities that are also keeping a standby list for when appointments open up. Being on the list does not guarantee and appointment, but if you have a flexible schedule, you may be able to get in for a shot if someone cancels. County Health Departments say they want to make sure all openings are taken and all available shots administered.
