Where Do New Yorkers Stand on the Body Confidence Scale?

How do you feel about the skin you live in? Are you confident with your body and comfortable being in the nude or being in situations where you need to be nude?

According to a recent survey on body confidence in the nude the state where people are the most confident without clothes on is Washington. The rest of the top five most body-confident states are Rhode Island, Delaware, Maryland, and Colorado.

On the other hand, the survey found that people in Indiana and Oregon are the least confident in the nude with Nebraska and Minnesota ranking next in terms of low confidence.

Before you assume that New Yorkers are not completely comfortable in the nude, consider this – Washington ranked highest with a score of 5.8 but New York wasn’t far behind, coming in with a 5.3 out of 10 scale.

The survey also explored comfort levels in different nudity-related situations. Participants generally expressed a high level of comfort in being naked at home alone and changing in front of a partner.

However, the survey found that people are less comfortable with being fully naked on a beach. Also low on the comfort scale were being naked in a sauna, changing in a locker room, skinny dipping, being partially nude on a beach, and changing in front of friends.

By the way, the survey revealed that people are right down the middle with how they feel when in that situation saying that their comfort level is a 5 out of 10.
