Blake Shelton Supports America’s Bravest

98.1 The Hawk loves our troops and we love Blake Shelton for loving them too! 

This is one of the most stand up things I’ve ever heard of a celeb doing. Blake Shelton is supporting a not for profit program called ‘Building for America’s Bravest,’ which builds “Smart Homes” for our most catastrophically injured service members returning home.  

Blake says:

The bravest volunteer to protect our freedom.  Rusty Dunagan was injured serving our country. He needs your support. Hundreds of severely injured veterans, like Rusty Dunagan, are waiting for a home built to fit their needs.  Thank y’all for donating & making a huge difference in the lives of heroes like Rusty Dunagan.”

Each Smart Home is custom designed to address the unique needs of each individual.  The Smart Home is designed to be energy efficient, automated and easily accessible and they use adaptive technology to help our most severely injured hero live better and more independent lives.  

We applaud Blake Shelton for stepping up and using his celebrity status to help out our men and women in uniform!
