As many people know, we've been participating in car birthday/graduation parades for the last couple of months during the coronavirus pandemic. It's given us a chance to meet and celebrate with our listeners during this difficult time. We hope they have been as rewarding to you as they've been to us.

We are going to a car birthday parade tonight (September 2nd) for WWII and Koren War/Conflict Veteran named Erwin Harrington. He's turning 100 years young today and we are going to honor him and EVERYONE IS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE WITH US.

You can dress up your vehicle in patriotic/birthday decor or just show up. Line up will be on Lewis Street in Vestal facing Main Street at 6 p.m. with the parade beginning at 6:15 p.m.

Motorcycles are welcome too. They will meet at the Visions/Walmart parking lot at 5:20 p.m. and leave at 5:40 p.m. If you live near Vestal then meet at 5:50 p.m. near Main and Front Street.

PLEASE don't get out of your vehicle as social distancing from him is very important. We'll be there to celebrate Erwin's 100th birthday with our vuvuzela horn in hand and we hope that you'll have a chance to join us tonight.

We've gone from Spencer to Sidney and everywhere in between and we would love to come to your car birthday parade too. If you would like us to participate, all you need to do is go to our 98.1 the Hawk Facebook Page and leave us a message.

Happy 100th birthday Erwin Harrington.
