You may remember that in January, the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park announced that Jacqueline Peeler was leaving as it's Executive Director for an opportunity in Boston. They are excited to announce that they have a new Executive Director and he is a lifelong resident of the area.

Phillip Ginter will take over the position beginning on March 25th. Ginter has lived in the Broome County area for his whole life and he's been a part of the non-profit community too. He's had association with HealthLinkNY, Broome County Arts Council and the United Way of Broome County.

His experience with program development and grant management will help with the existing animal care team and the Binghamton Zoo's mission of conservation, education and recreation.

You'll have a chance to officially meet Phil on Grand Opening Day on April 20th and Members Only Night on April 27th. While you're marking your calendars, save April 20th and 21st for their annual Eggstravaganza event. It's a special egg hunt through the entire zoo for families

The Binghamton Zoo will be open on weekends from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning this Saturday, March 16th. The 5th oldest zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton.
