Exciting times are coming to the Visions Federal Credit Union Veterans Memorial Arena with the arrival of the Binghamton Black Bears FPHL hockey team. Earlier this month, the new owner, Andreas Johansson held a press conference.

One thing that he stressed during the press conference was that he's all about the local area and doing what it takes to be involved with our community.  During the press conference, he unveiled the new logo, color scheme, and the different jerseys that they would wear for the 2022-2122 season.

He explained that they chose the green and black color scheme because green represents Binghamton and black will look great on rivalry nights. Johansson announced that there would be 30 home games.

The first home game will be on Saturday, November 6th against the Delaware Thunder and season tickets are now available. He wants to have an open dialogue and answer any questions related to the Federal Prospects Hockey League, the team, or any question that you may think of.

He's not paying lip service to the idea either. He's inviting you to ask your questions here. Do you want to know if they'll have mini-plan season tickets? Will they be bringing back the previous announcers?

The Most Important Question For The Binghamton Black Bears Owner

Will they be bringing back Chuck-a-Puck and that no-talent hack announcer on the ice? I'm talking about me, in case you were wondering. Go here to ask your questions and with the moderator's permission, he'll answer them.

You may be surprised by some of the questions that are being asked already. I have to admit that some made me chuckle but he's been replying. I think it's going to be a great relationship and look forward to hockey back in Binghamton.

Here's a little something to get you pumped for the upcoming season.

From what I'm hearing, there will be a press conference on Wednesday to introduce the new head coach. LET'S GO BLACK BEARS! ROAR!
