The temperatures may be cold outside but it's hot inside the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. I'm talking about the Binghamton Black Bears as they look to make it three wins in a row at home when Danbury comes to town on Thursday, January 27th.

The Hat Tricks invaded the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena last Saturday and the Black Bears came from behind in the first OT game at home. If you haven't seen 3 on 3 overtime hockey then you're missing out. Saying that the crowd was electric would be underselling their comeback victory.

They've been averaging around 7 goals a game against Danbury, so that means there'll be a good chance of taking a cheeseburger home with you after the game. If you've been to a Black Bears hockey game, you know exactly what I mean.

Binghamton Black Bears Final Home Game For Three Weeks

Then the Black Bears will host the Delaware Thunder on Friday, January 28th for their final home game until February 19th. They'll be going koozie crazy before heading on the road for over three weeks, so get to the game early on Friday.

Face-off for both games is at 7 p.m. and I'll be doing Chuck-a-Puck between the 2nd and 3rd period. I say all the time to support local and it's certainly true with the Binghamton Black Bears.

Geno DeAngelo is from the Binghamton area and  #95 recently scored a hat trick against Danbury. Local products Gavin Abbott and M.J. Maerkl have also contributed to the Black Bears run toward the playoffs.
