This Saturday, April 5th is your chance to save money and help out a great cause. It's the Broome County Humane Society's Annual Spring Rummage Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the American Legion Post 80, 76 Main Street in Binghamton.

If you've started your spring cleaning, and are looking to get rid of some of your extra stuff, here is a great idea, take it to them. Donations for the sale can be dropped off at the American Legion today (Friday, April 4th) beginning at 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.

They ask that you don't bring TV's, clothing, exercise equipment, toiletries or books but pretty much everything else is welcome. They ask for only clean, gently used (or new) items in working order please. All proceeds benefit the Broome County Humane Society located at 167 Conklin Avenue in Binghamton.

They are an independent, non-profit animal welfare organization that receive NO government funding and that's why your help is so vital for them. They are dedicated to preventing animal cruelty and finding homes for companion animals.

They serve our area by sheltering animals, finding them homes, investigating reports of animal cruelty and a lot more. For more information about this Saturday's rummage sale and other upcoming events, go here or contact the BC Humane Society at (607) 724-3709 extension 107.

The weather this weekend won't be great with rain and temperatures near 50, so it's a really good day to go inside on Saturday. They want to see you at the Broome County Humane Society's Rummage Sale at the American Legion in Binghamton beginning at 8 a.m.
