Bainbridge Man Ticketed in Head-On Crash in Delaware County

Authorities say, fortunately, only minor injuries are reported in connection with a two car, head-on crash on State Highway 357 in the Town of Franklin September 24.

Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say 55-year-old Robert Ray of Bainbridge was driving west near Lawton Hill Road at around 1:15 p.m. when he drove into the eastbound lane, hitting an on-coming car driven by 89-year-old Richard Dickson of Jensen Beach, Florida head-on.

The Dickson car ran off the roadway and overturned in a ditch.

Dickson and his 90-year-old passenger, Helen Dickson, were taken to Fox Hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Ray was ticketed for failure to keep right and failure to wear a seat belt.
