So who was it that said, "I have a tip than can take five strokes off anyone's golf game: it's called an eraser."? It wan none other then Arnold Palmer. Last night (9/25), we learned the passing of Arnold Palmer at the age of 87.

He was the king of golf and had his own army (Arnie's Army). He received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2004, but he was the person who connected with the common man. If you saw him golf, you were positive that at some point he was looking at you.

He would sign an autograph for anyone that asked. He also would sign it so that you could read his signature. He believed that if you took the time to ask, then he should take the time so you could read it.

His health had been deteriorating for some time and he was in Pittsburgh trying to find ways to get better. Even now, he connects with the young and old alike. I know him for his golf accomplishments.

My daughter, Riley knows about him because she loves his drink. It gave me a chance to tell her what a great man that he was.

RIP Arnie.
