In collaboration with the Broome-Tioga Stormwater Coalition, the Broome County Environmental Management Council (EMC) is thrilled to invite community groups, organizations, and individuals to be part of the 38th Annual Broome County Riverbank Cleanup.

Over the years, the dedication of volunteers has led to the removal of tons of trash and debris from the rivers and streams in the region. You and your family are invited to be part of this year's initiative.

Scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to noon, the 38th Annual Broome County Riverbank Cleanup calls for participants to preregister by October 11, 2024. The EMC will provide necessary supplies, aid in coordinating trash collection, and assist in choosing cleanup locations.

To expand the scope of impact, this year's cleanup will extend to sites beyond the riverbank. Community members are encouraged to suggest locations that require attention and assistance, even if they are not initially listed on the registration form. Any students who want to participate will be allowed the flexibility to schedule their cleanups during the weekend or the week leading up to the main event.
