5 Tips to Get The Most Out of Binghamton Restaurant Week
Binghamton Restaurant Week begins Tuesday with some fabulous 3 course lunch and dinner options, all priced at $12 or less for lunch and $25 of less for dinner. Here are some tips to get the most out of this popular dining-out fest of food:
1) Plan ahead - If you're thinking about meeting friends, family or co-workers for an enjoyable lunch or dinner, check the official web site and take a look at the full list of restaurants and eateries participating as not all part of the special program.
2) Take a look at the menu - Most participating restaurants offer a set menu with their most popular menu choices. Some will give you the option of ordering off this menu or offer you a certain price to order off their regular menu. Your server will be able to explain more when you get there.
3) Reservations - Depending on when you go, keep in mind there may be a wait at the key eating times. You might want to consider calling ahead to see if your choice offers reservations. I just placed a reservation for 2 of my favorites for the coming days.
4) Try new - I like to try the new places that I haven't dined at before. This is what I like about Binghamton Restaurant Week. Most places are out to impress and they want you to come back. I always try 2 or 3 places I haven't tried before and more times than not, will come back for more.
5) Return to your favorites - Let's face it, 3 course meals at a more than fair price is a reason to celebrate with friends and family. Everybody has a favorite restaurant on the list. Going back to one of these places is comfort; it's like going home again.
Binghamton Restaurant Week is March 24 - April 2 and, best of all, it supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Binghamton and Broome County Habitat for Humanity.
Bon Appetit!
