The 2nd Annual Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner is coming to the Binghamton Double Tree by Hilton on Monday, April 18th.

There will be a press conference on Tuesday, March 1st at 3pm at the Hilton in the Endicott Room-downstairs. They'll announce the Class of 2016 Inductees and the Induction Dinner featured speaker.

The Class of 2016 Inductees were selected by an Honorees Selection Committee consisting of: Dave Burch, Tom Corgel, Dick Foley, John W. Fox, Roger Neel, Tim Schum, and Michele Tidick.

The Dinner's net proceeds directly benefit the local Boys & Girls Clubs of Binghamton and Western Broome, and to establish a location for the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame.

The  Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame was established to honor the local people (past and present) who have made significant contributions to the world of sports as well as  being exemplary individuals.

The mission of the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame is:

• Initiate an Annual Sports Hall of Fame Dinner with a nationally known sports figure as the featured speaker

• Honor local people (past and present) who made significant contributions to the world of sports for induction into the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame

• Donation to benefit a local charitable non-profit organization

• Acquire in time a permanent location for the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame, where the community would have access to view the accomplishments of the honorees and to remember them.

So save the date, Monday, April 18th. We can't wait to find out who will be inducted.
