It comes down to one final game...the final chapter of the 2019 season for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.  Binghamton hosts the Hartford Yard Goats at 1:05 today (Monday) on Labor Day afternoon in the final contest of the season for both teams.

Neither team qualifies for the post-season and after today players and coaches scatter.  Some will be done for the winter but many head to the Arizona Fall League or winter baseball in places like the Dominican Republic and South America.

Mickey Jannis gets the start for the Rumble Ponies.  He is 6-5 with a 3.12 ERA.  Jannis has the most career wins in a Binghamton Rumble Ponies uniform.  He has been outstanding in the past month.  In his last four starts he has given up just three earned runs with 37 strike outs in 30 innings.

Opposing Jannis is Brandon Gould who has put together a stellar season with a 12-5 record and a 3.43 ERA.  Hartford holds the edge in the season series with an 8-4 margin.

Binghamton has players on the move to close the season.  Sam Haggerty was promoted to Syracuse on August 19 and then got the call yesterday to join the New York Mets.  In his two-week stay at Triple-A Syracuse Haggerty hit .310 with nine RBI and four stolen bases.  Pitchers Blake Taylor and Adonis Uceta got promoted to Syracuse on Sunday.  Taylor departs Binghamton with an ERA of 1.85 ERA  in 18 appearances.  Uceta departs with a 1.44 ERA in 36 appearances for the Rumble Ponies.

With the early start today's game is being aired on CBS Sports Radio 1360 AM WYOS.  You can also hear the game online at 1360binghamton.com and via the 1360 AM mobile app on your smart phone.
