What Color Is This Dress?! [POLL]

Yesterday, a Tumblr user put a picture of a dress on her page, asking friends, what has turned out to be the most mind blowing question, "Is this dress white and gold or blue and black?"

Tumblr users responded with quite a few different answers as to what colors the dress appear to be in their eyes. Shortly after, the picture of this dress went viral. Buzzfeed has also posted an article asking viewers to vote on what colors they see the dress to be, where the answers vary greatly.

guys please help me - is this dress white and gold, or blue and black? Me and my friends can’t agree and we are freaking the fuck out

So I just looked at this like, it’s blue and black obviously and all my friends were like no it’s blue and gold. Now I’m super confused, what is eyesight?

Last night, a friend sent me the link asking me what colors I see. Her and I saw two completely different color combinations! I then asked my boyfriend to weigh in and we also had two different opinions. When I brought it in to Glenn this morning, I seriously couldn't believe it when he said something different than me. How could this weird thing be happening?! I feel as if everything I've ever learned about colors is a lie.

Celebrities have shared their thoughts and the huge controversy has even  made it's way to different countries. Some have found pictures of what they believe to be the original dress, without poor camera lighting skewing the colors, but will we ever know? Who knows!
