I had the wonderful opportunity while I was at the Delaware County Fair in Walton, to talk to some of the people from the Walton Theatre Preservation Association. Movie distributors will no longer distribute movies in 35mm film format, but instead, only as digital downloads at the end of the year.

The Walton Theatre has been around since 1914 and they need new digital equipment for downloading and showing movies. They need to raise around 70,000 dollars. The Walton Theatre Preservation Association is doing all they can to pursue grants and set up fund raisers.  They still need your help.

I'll be talking to Jim Rice from the association in the near future, but they can use your help now.  You can go to Waltontheatre.org to find out more.  They are working hard to restore this historic theatre and hope you'll work to help them out.
