Used Chewing Gum Sells for $250,000

Disgusting doesn’t begin to describe the thought of someone actually spending close to a quarter of a million dollars on a piece of already chewed gum, but it’s happened.

Okay, so the gum was chewed by Kiss bassist Gene Simmons, but still. According to KISSopolis, an unidentified buyer purchased Simmons’ saliva-slathered gum on eBay, beating out 99 additional bids.

There is some good to this nastiness though.  All proceeds from the sale of the wad of gum are going to the Street League organization which us a UK-based charity that uses sports programs to combat youth unemployment.
