This is getting ridiculous. First it was peanut butter, cheese, salsa and spreads, then it was chicken nuggets, then hot dogs and now it's chicken tender products being recalled.

Prime Pak Foods, has recalled about 24,000 pounds of fully cooked breaded chicken-breast products because of improper branding and undeclared allergens. Exactly what happened over the weekend with Kraft's Oscar Mayer hot dogs.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service says that the chicken-breast products were made with egg and wheat, allergens not listed on the labels, which could cause deadly consequences.

Products included in the recall include:

  • 2, 5-lb. bags in a 10-lb. box of “Sugar Lake Farms Fully Cooked Breaded Chicken Breast Tenders” with the product code 77422 printed on the box.
  • 2, 5-lb. bags in a 10-lb. box of “Sugar Lake Farms Fully Cooked Spicy Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks” with the product code 77448 printed on the box.

The affected products were sold to hotels, restaurants and other large institutions across the nation from December of 2012 to March of 2014.
