You know, drug smugglers are definitely creative people. They think long and hard about where they hide their drugs. Extra thought should've been put in on this debacle of a vehicle alteration. Do not disable the safety equipment!

According to ABC News, two smugglers in Northern Mexico were trying to sneak drugs into Texas, they removed the passenger's side airbag, and hid a bunch of cocaine in the hole.

Which seems like a pretty legit hiding place, until you smash into stuff and things, and that's exactly what happened. They got 90 miles from the border, crashed their car and attained there death certificates. The police found 23 bricks of cocaine in their car, weighing a total of 55 pounds.

Both of them were taken to the hospital, but they died from their injuries. Apparently the driver's side airbag did deploy, but the driver died anyway. Too much speed? Sorry, bad joke.

I mean if you think about it, it probably didn't help any that there were 23 two pound bricks of cocaine flying around the cabin of the vehicle?
