TV Icon Valerie Harper Reveals She Has Only Months to Live

Cancer is a horrible thing, of this I know.  I lost a man I considered to be a second Dad to cancer last year and now my own Dad is fighting the fight of his life against the disease.

Add to the sad and long list of those fighting for their lives actress Valerie Harper who has just revealed that she has terminal brain cancer.

I’ve got to give so much credit to Valerie for her attitude.  She told People Magazine that she doesn’t think about dying, but instead she thinks of “being here now."

The 73-year-old icon, best known for her role in the 1970s as Rhoda Morgenstern on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda, said she got the diagnosis on January 15th and that her doctors say she has only about three months left to live.
