It's "The Humane Society's 2014 Doggie Duck Dash" this Saturday beginning at noon in downtown Binghamton. Tara and her friends were busy tagging the ducks on Tuesday and they hope to see you for this worthy cause.

Proceeds from every duck adopted will go to the Humane Society, 2 Jackson Street in Binghamton. They are an independent non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to the prevention of animal cruelty and finding permanent, loving homes for companion animals.

They service the community by sheltering animals, finding them homes, investigating reports of animal cruelty, educating people of all ages and rescuing animals from life threatening situations.

Come watch their shelter dogs fetch the winning ducks from the "duck pond" of 15,000 yellow rubber ducks. Adopt a duck or a whole flock. You can stop by the shelter (2 Jackson Street, Binghamton) to adopt a duck or online here.

It only cost 5 bucks to adopt a duck. They also offer 6 quacks (adopt 5 ducks, get one free), a quacker's dozen (adopt 12, get 3 free), a family flock (adopt 20, get 5 free) or a mega quack pack (adopt 50 and get 20 free).

The event runs from Noon-4. There will be music, games, vendors, animals and more. First place is 5,000 dollars. 2nd place is 1,300 and 3rd is 700 dollars. Tara will be there, will you?
