Things are looking up for the Binghamton University Men's Basketball team as they had their best season in YEARS. They went 8-8 in America East Conference play and their have been "rumors" that Adam Weitsman might support the Binghamton University sports program.

We haven't heard anything official since but this latest move has everyone talking...except Weitsman that is. If you haven't heard, former Syracuse guard Symir Torrence is using his extra Covid-year eligibility to head down I-81 to play his final year with the Binghamton Bearcats.

In 2019, ESPN had Torrence as the 98th (I like that number) best player in the 2019 class. Last season, Torrence showed signs of excellence with the Orange and averaged over 11 minutes playing time per game.

He is a welcome addition to the Bearcat basketball family and getting a high-level transfer like Torrence coming to town has some people wondering if Weitsman has a hand in this.

Once again, there has been no comment from any parties involved and it is only speculation. Either way, we're glad that if Torrence is going to shed the Orange, that he'll be donning the green for the upcoming season.

Torrence wanted to stay close to home for his final year. He is a Syracuse native and went to Syracuse Academy of Science before spending his last two years of high school at Vermont Academy

I have to admit, he looks really good in green. Torrence wants to help the Bearcats take the next step in the America East Conference as he tries try to bring the team back to the glory days from the 2008-2009 season when they advanced to the NCAA tournament as a 15th seed.
