The listing used enrollment statistics from 2013 and 2014 to compile the list of the top 50 schools in several enrollment categories. Among schools with enrollments of between 5,000 and 9,999 students, SUNY Broome came in 44th, as enrollment increased by .8%, or 50 students, bringing the total to 5,944. CC Week’s analysis relied on U.S. Department of Education data (IPEDS).

While CC Week’s analysis doesn’t include SUNY Broome’s Fast Forward students, the enrollment increase is even greater when they are added in: 3.3%, with a total of 6,918 students. And enrollment continued to rise in 2015 with 7,254 students, according to SUNY Broome data.

“We draw top students from our local high schools, many while they’re still in high school,” President Drumm said. “Our graduates also comprise Binghamton University’s largest transfer cohort and some move on to the Ivy League or other top universities. We have students who take courses and even complete degrees entirely online, without setting a foot on campus. If students will commit to partnering with us, they know we mean it when we tell them: You can go anywhere from here! And save a lot of tuition dollars by doing so.”
