Sayre Police report that Justin Holloway, age 33 of Sayre is in custody after a standoff that began late in the morning July 31 and ended that evening.  Holloway was taken into custody without incident and then moved to Robert Packer Hospital for what police report as treatment for a medical warrant.According to Sayre Police they responded to a residence at 210 West Packer Avenue shortly after 10:30 a.m. for a report of a suicidal male.  Police were advised that there was one person inside the residence who was armed with a shotgun and an explosive device.  Police were unable to communicate with anyone inside the home and the standoff continued throughout the day.  A Pa. State Police Emergency Response Team joined Sayre Police on the scene.  A robot sent into the home showed no evidence of Holloway.  Police then entered the home and were unable to locate the individual.

As police left the scene it was learned that Holloway had been found at a nearby fire station department building where he was arrested.  Police say they believe Holloway had vacated the home just before they arrived at the 210 West Packer Avenue location.

Police say they found explosives and an illegal shotgun.

A nearby farmers' market had been evacuated and Robert Packer hospital placed on lockdown during the idea.

Holloway is charged with making terroristic threats, unlawful possession of weapons of mass destruction and having a prohibited offensive weapon.
