If you love a good steak, but hate restaurant prices, try making your own at home, which is what I do. This recipe tastes just as good as a restaurant steak dinner, but costs under $30 and feeds four people!

You’ll need:

4 (1 1/2 inch thick.) Delmonico steaks
1 tbsp. olive oil

2 tsp. minced fresh rosemary or 1 tsp. dried, crumbled
2 tsp. minced fresh thyme or 1 tsp. dried, crumbled
2 tsp. minced fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried, crumbled
Freshly ground pepper

Directions:
Place the steaks in a shallow dish and rub both sides with the oil, garlic, and herbs. Season with pepper and cover with plastic wrap. Let the steaks chill out on the counter for about an hour.

This will bring them to room temperature and also allow the seasoning to soak in.
Turn the grill onto high heat and cook the steaks until desired doneness, about 4 minutes per side for rare, longer for well done.

Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Bundles

loading...

You’ll need:
1 1/2 pounds asparagus spears, trimmed
Extra-virgin olive oil
Italian seasoning
Bacon (uncooked)

Directions:
Lightly coat asparagus spears in extra-virgin olive oil and then season with Italian seasoning. Don’t use too much seasoning though because it’ll make the asparagus overly salty. I usually put my trimmed asparagus in a big baggie and pour a little of the oil in the bag and then sprinkle in the seasoning and close the bag and shake it really hard. Divide the asparagus into bunches and use a slice of bacon to wrap the bundle and secure the spears together.

To grill, place the bundles on hot grill and cover. Cook 10 to 12 minutes until bacon is crisp and asparagus is tender.

Serve steaks and asparagus with a side of rice for the perfect meal.

Bon Appetit!
