I love lawyers.  Are you ready for the crazy law of the week?  The next time you think about singing "Happy Birthday to You," it could cost you much more than the value of your birthday gifts.

According to the new Parents magazine and CNN, "Happy Birthday to You" is a copyrighted song, and singing it in public anywhere in the United States is illegal and could cost you upwards of $30,000.

Is it time to search for a new song this year or will your kids be blowing out their candles in silence this year?  With it being illegal in the US, is it safe to sing it in Canada or Mexico?
