October Is Pastor Appreciation Month

October is Pastor Appreciation month.  If you have or know one then do something to show your appreciation.  If you haven't been going then just showing up might be enough.

I've found a way to show my appreciation and golf too.

As you may know, I go to Northpointe in Hillcrest. I've been going there for almost 3 years. So I want to show my appreciation to it's leader Kenny Mulligan.

So I'm gonna take him golfing at Belden Hill golf course....If the weather will cooperate anytime soon. I get to golf with someone I respect. Besides with Kenny around, I won't toss my clubs or do the "Ride the Pony Dance."

Once again this is a Glenn Pitcher golf dance not the dance from the 90's. I see nothing wrong with the dance but for some reason when I mention it, it freaks Traci out.

Taking the pastor to golf makes me think of the Caddyshack movie and the scene with Bill Murray.

Carl: I'd keep playing. I don't think the heavy stuff's gonna come down for quite awhile.  Bishop: You're right. Anyway, the Good Lord would never disrupt the best game of my life...We know how the scene ended.

Also it'll give me a chance to share some golf knowledge with him. I can tell him that if it starts to lightning, just hold a 1 iron over his head. Why?  Because not even God can hit a 1 iron.

Also if I take Kenny golfing then I can have a Mulligan at every hole...Get it, his name is Kenny Mulligan.....never mind.

So let your pastor know how much you appreciate how much they do. If you don't have one, you can always use mine.

Once again, showing up (besides Easter and Christmas, or as it's known the Chreasters) is probably what they would appreciate the most.
