Nancy Lopez Joins Dick's Sporting Goods Open Week

The Dick's Sporting Goods Open is approaching fast. The legends of golf will be here. Zac Brown will perform a sold out show on Friday night (8/15) The Wendy's Walk for Kids is Sunday afternoon (8/17). Here's another big event.

The wit and wisdom of World Golf Hall of Fame member Nancy Lopez, will be here this summer. It's the "UHS Pearls of Wisdom with Nancy Lopez Golf Clinic and Women's Health Event."

It's the kickoff to the Dick's Sporting Good Open, the event will be Wednesday, August 13th at the En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott. The event starts at 4 with Ms. Lopez's golf clinic beginning at 6:30.

Women from across the community will be able to join Nancy for a free golf clinic, gaining invaluable tips on how to improve their golf games. This year exhibits will feature activities to help women stay fit and remain active.

Lopez has 48 LPGA Tour Victories and three Major Championships. In 1978 she became the only LPGA Tour member to win Rookie of the Year, Player of the Year, and the Vare Trophy in the same season. She was awarded Player of the Year four times.
