Update: Sean has been found and is safe.

The Broome Sheriff's Office posted the following on their Facebook page: "Sheriff David E. Harder is reporting that 23 year old Sean R. Rake has been located. Mr. Rake made contact with family members this afternoon and advised them that he is currently in New York City and will be returning this afternoon. Sheriff Harder wishes to thank the community for their assistance during this investigation. The Sheriff’s Office received multiple tips from the community as well as over 800 “shares” of the story on our Facebook page” for that we are grateful. A strong partnership between the community and law enforcement makes for a safer Broome County. -Thank you."

11:45am update: Sheriff Harder is reporting that Sean's vehicle has been located in a parking lot at the corner of North Street and Garfield in Endicott and will be processed for any information or evidence that might assist in the investigation.

The investigation has revealed that Sean was at Sliderz Bar and Grill on the Vestal Parkway on Monday night. He left around 9:30am on foot and was last seen on the morning of Tuesday February 4th at 2:10am at an ATM in the Metro-Center in downtown Binghamton. It's believed that he was walking or using public transportation at this time.

Sean was last seen wearing blue jeans, a brown jacket and brown work boots.

Original story: The Broome County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division are investigating the disappearance of 23-year-old Sean Rake of Lisle.

On Monday February 3, 2014, Sean R. Rake left his home at 350 Greenwood Road in the Town of Lisle to go to work at International Paper in Conklin. Sean never arrived at work.

Sean was last seen driving a red 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, NY plates DXH8989.
