Minion Movie Is the Second Biggest Animated Movie Ever

I guess my girlfriend and I will be taking the kids to go see Minions this week in 3-D. I'm pretty excited because apparently the animated flick opened with $115.2 million this weekend. You should know this means the movie now holds the number two spot for the biggest opening for an animated film ever! "Shrek the Third" still has the record, with a $121.6 million opening weekend in 2007.

The horror flick "The Gallows" opened in fifth, with $10 million, and the thriller "Self/Less" with Ryan Reynolds made $5.4 million, opening in 8th place. Here's the Top 10:
