Lightning On The Mountain At Thunder Mountain Tonight

History will be made at Thunder Mountain tonight! It's "Lightning on the Mountain" with over $30,000 in cash in the big-block/small-block Modified Division. It's the richest night of racing every at Thunder Mountain. I'll be broadcasting tonight from 4:30 til 6:30.

It's the 2nd leg of the 6 race National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) Short Track Super Series Fueled by VP. The 50 lap main event offers $5,000 to win, $1,500 for 5th, $1,000 for 10th and $500 just to take the green flag.

This is a 6 event series that travels to 5 tracks across NY and Pa. The series champion earns over $10,000 at the end of the season. Drivers from 6 states and the province of Ontario, Canada will be here.

The Sportsman division is also featured tonight. They'll be racing for $1,000 to win.

It's also a Family Fun event. A bounce house for the kids. Autographs with the drivers, music and giveaways throughout the night. Fireworks will end the night of excitement on the Mountain.

Gates open at 4 p.m. The driver's meeting is set for 6:15 p.m. Hot laps are called at 6:40 p.m. with racing at 7:15 p.m. Kid 9 and under are admitted free.

Take I-81 exit 8 (Whitney Point/Lisle) to go to Thunder Mountain. It's at 91 Hunts Corners Road, Center Lisle. Thunder is under new management. There have been numerous facility improvements including all new lighting around the speedway.
