Letters of Love for Sandy Hook: Letters Coming in From Schools Across the Country
When I opened the mail in my mailbox this morning, I got the chills and had to fight back tears. In my hands were dozens of Letters of Love for Sandy Hook sent in from Windsor Middle School here locally, Albemarle Road Elementary in Charlotte, NC, The Colony High School in Dallas, TX and the Lauralton Hall Key Club in Milford, CT.
My heart breaks that these kids have to carry the burden of sadness in their little hearts about a senseless act of violence against other kids their age. Yet, out of this comes an amazing life lesson. Their teachers and parents are teaching these precious kids the importance of reaching out to complete strangers to envelope them in love. I think that’s something our world needs more of.
We’ll be collecting Letters of Love for Sandy Hook until the end of the day this Friday, December 28th. You can mail or drop off letters and/or stuffed animals to us at:
