Jake Owen Has Part of Finger Amputated

Talk about a trooper!  Jake Owen played through the pain just a few hours after having part of his finger amputated.

You might remember us telling you last month that Jake’s hand was crushed in a go-karting accident. He’d hoped that it would heal and he’d be back to his old self in no time, but that wasn’t meant to be. Jake’s finger started to bleed on Sunday and doctors told him they’d have to chop off the tip, which they did on Monday.

You’d think after having a part of his finger taken off that Jake would have cancelled his Summer Block Party show in Nashville that same night, but the show went on as planned.

Jake told WWGP “They just went ahead and amputated the last half of it off. Kinda trying to pretend it doesn’t hurt right now, but it’s a little sensitive. Sensitive’s a good word.”
