Is The Government Secretly Collecting Your Phone Records?

A highly classified court order that was disclosed last night has revealed that the government has been secretly collecting records from the Verizon Business Network Services on an ongoing basis.

That’s right- if you're a customer of Verizon Business Networks Services, chances are pretty good that big brother knows who you've been calling.

Under a court order that was signed in April, the company has been turning over to the National Security Agency, all call logs "between the United States and abroad" or "wholly within the United States, including local telephone calls."

There’s no word on if other parts of Verizon such as residential and cell phone services or if other carriers have received similar orders. Reps from Verizon and AT&T are keeping their lips zipped. The FBI and the White House also declined to comment, but nobody is denying that this collection of records exists.
