Hurricane Sandy Disaster Supply Drive With Faith Partners

People have been trying to find ways that they can help out the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Here's a great local way, The Faith Partners In Recovery are having a "Let's Fill a Semi" Hurricane Sandy Disaster Supply Drive this Friday and Saturday.  The drop off is at the First Presbyterian Chuch of Johnson City, 2 Main Street, Friday and Saturday from 1-7pm.

They are only accepting new items and they must be in original package or have tags.  The reason they want only new clothing and bedding?  Used clothing is considered the disaster after the disaster in disaster relief. There's not enough manpower to sort, clean and disinfect everything that arrive after a disaster.

Immediate Needs include: Blankets, Winter hats and gloves, Baby Clothes, Formula and Diapers, N95 and P100 Dust Masks.  There's much more that is needed.  If you'd like more information contact Greg Jenkins at: gljoutdoors@aim.com.  They need is great and time is short.
